Development Plan

At its Annual General Meeting in October 2008, the Club unanimously and enthusiastically adopted a Development Plan, the overall objective of which was to enable the Club to be competitive in all respects with any other village club in England. In particular the Development Plan includes the following specific objectives:

1.To maintain, develop and foster a friendly and inclusive “club” atmosphere for players, their families and other club supporters which will welcome not only Boxted residents but anyone else who wishes to play village cricket, promote the playing of village cricket or otherwise support the club

2.To develop a “first” team capable of being competitive with any village team in England

3.To run a mix of other teams to accommodate the playing aspirations, abilities and availability of all members including younger and older, men/boys and women/girls

4.To own and develop our own cricket ground together with a club pavilion and associated facilities up to a standard which would put us within the top quartile of village clubs in England
