Boxted Cricket Club is now an official Learning Destination of the Essex Children's University.
The Essex Children's University™, where every child without exception, aged 7-14 years (and 5 to 6 year olds with their families) can study.
Issued with a Passport to Learning, children can travel around Essex and the UK with their Passport to Learning, collecting stamps in recognition of their learning as they go, after all travel is what a Passport is for!
Celebrate achievement and reward participation through receipt of certificates.
Raising children's aspirations is important to us and we aim to develop the understanding that learning can be the satellite navigation to better places in life!!
Learning Destinations are places and organisations to which children can `travel' with their `Passport to Learning'.  They provide high quality learning opportunities and experiences, and have passed the Children's University quality assurance process.

An extract from a letter dated 12 June 2012 received from Mike Gatting Managing Director of Cricket Partnerships, England and Wales Cricket Board.

" Congratulations on being one of a select number of cricket clubs across England and Wales to receive ECB Clubmark Accreditation.

Achieving ECB Clubmark Accreditation is an important step in confirming that your club operates to a key set of core criteria and has good practices in place to ensure that you can deliver high quality community cricket in an environment that is safe, effective and child friendly.

The ECB, your County Board, Sport England and local partners recognise the hard work your club has done in achieving ECB Clubmark Accreditation. It is now the responsibility of all club members and everyone involved with the club to maintain the high standards you have reached as part of the ECB Clubmark process so that you continue to thrive as a community cricket club.

Once again, congratulations on your achievement and thank you for your committment and dedication to community club cricket".
