Welcome to the Boxted Cricket Club Website. We are a village club playing our cricket just a couple of miles north of Britain's' oldest recorded town of Colchester in the county of Essex.

We run four adult teams one on Saturday competing in the Two Counties Cricket Championship,  two on Sunday competing in the North Essex Cricket League and a Midweek XI competing in the Colchester Evening League.In addition we have a thriving junior section playing competitive league cricket at both under 11 and under 13 levels as well as plenty of Kwik Cricket for youngsters at school year six and below.

Our overall playing strength covers a wide range of abilities and  we are always very keen to receive enquiries from potential new members of any playing standard.

An extract from a letter dated 12 June 2012 received from Mike Gatting Managing Director of Cricket Partnerships, England and Wales Cricket Board.

" Congratulations on being one of a select number of cricket clubs across England and Wales to receive ECB Clubmark Accreditation.

Achieving ECB Clubmark Accreditation is an important step in confirming that your club operates to a key set of core criteria and has good practices in place to ensure that you can deliver high quality community cricket in an environment that is safe, effective and child friendly.

The ECB, your County Board, Sport England and local partners recognise the hard work your club has done in achieving ECB Clubmark Accreditation. It is now the responsibility of all club members and everyone involved with the club to maintain the high standards you have reached as part of the ECB Clubmark process so that you continue to thrive as a community cricket club.

Fantasy Cricket Competition
 
 
The prizes for this season's competition have  been announced.

Overall 1st Place £100
             2nd Place £40
              3rd Place £15

The three monthly winners June, July and August/September combined - £10 each.

The team finishing mid table (38th) - £10

The top weekly score - £10

In accordance with the Competition Rule 8 the transfer window is now open and allows each Team Manager the opportunity to transfer up to two team members. Any transfers must be notified to Ian Evans by 7 July at the latest and will take effect from 1 July and are subject to the provision that the total number of players and player values does not exceed the Competition rules at the beginning of the season.

Two new players have been added. Paul Tongue - value 3 points.
                                                                   Andy Bryant - value 1 point.
