Dear All,
It's getting to that time of year again when we can actually go outside without coats and therefore it must be getting close to the cricket season .
I am pleased to say that so far we have had a good indoor net attendance ,but if we want to have a successful season on the field we can start by helping our tireless groundsman ,Graham Francis , with pitch and general ground preparation .
To that end, we would like some willing volunteers on Sunday 14th April ( from 10.00AM ) to help with :
- Moving the sightscreens into place and cleaning them up .
- Removing the fencing protection around the cricket square and putting some of that fencing in key boundary areas to prevent lost cricket balls .
- Tidying up the garage and removing any unwanted equipment .
- Checking the practice net and carrying out any repairs.
- Miscellaneous other jobs that Graham might need help with .
Even if you can only spend an hour or so, that would be appreciated . Numbers make it so much easier to do this work in a shorter time .
Looking forward to seeing some of you in a couple of weeks time .
Kind regards
Steve Philpott
