Club Update in relation to Covid 19

25 May 2020

Dear all I hope you are keeping safe and well.

I appreciate it has been a while since my last e mail, but not a lot has changed until recently.

Since the last Government update, the ECB has been looking into how clubs might operate in a slightly eased, but still very restrictive environment.

Having reviewed those guidelines we decided that it was very difficult for us to run any formal training sessions, including nets, given current Government restrictions.

Of course we will continue to review that decision in the light of further Government updates. In the meantime , in anticipation of social distancing being with us for some time to come, we will be working on Covid guidelines to ensure that when formal nets, training and/ or play commence everybody will understand what is expected of them and all will hopefully feel comfortable .

Having said this we cannot stop members using the King George V public playing field should they so wish (adhering to social distancing guidance of course). However, should any member wish to use any of the Club’s facilities (e.g. portable net) then could they please first contact Paul Harris on 07891 798239. Paul will advise if a suitable time is available and also provide you with a list of dos and don’ts in relation to use of the net . Please note that there are no clubhouse facilities available at this time.

Regards
